We are located less than 100 steps from the north side red line metro entrance in Silver Spring. Public parking is also available nearby: Cameron Street Garage located at 8530 Cameron St is less than a 5 minute walk away.

We are proud to host this year’s festival in partnership with the Brian Frankel Law Firm, DC Filmmakers Group,Wheaton Film Festival, and the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area. Through this collaboration, we aim to highlight the importance of storytelling while fostering community, awareness, and support. Ticket proceeds from this event support the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area in helping fund care, support, and research.

Join us as we release our seasonal Kölsch, Ümläüt Löve, and kick off a full day of Kölschfest at Silver Branch Lagerhaus & Biergarten in Silver Spring.
Celebrate Cologne’s famously crisp and refreshing beer style with traditional Kölsch service, delicious food specials, and a lively brewery atmosphere all day long.
Our team will be serving Kölsch the traditional way in classic Stange glasses while guests relax in the beer garden and enjoy the festivities. We’ll also have German-inspired food specials, German music, and plenty of Kölsch flowing throughout the day.
Kölschfest is a family-friendly celebration, making it a great way to spend an afternoon with friends and family.

Using a traditional Kölsch yeast and brewing techniques, Umlaut Love pays homage to Cologne’s storied Kölsch legacy. Umlaut Love’s delicate body, mild fruit flavors, and subtle white wine finish from the unique Kölsch yeast make it a perfect summertime beer.
Amber Castle
Amber Lager | 5.0%
Polotmavý (translating to half dark) is a Czech-Style amber lager that is malt-driven with a hop character that varies from low to very significant. Our Polotmavý has a medium hop character that is driven by the maltier notes, bready and caramel sweetness with a slightly dry finish to it. Chestnut in color with dry, sweet, maltier flavors to match.
Obsidian Castle
Dark Lager | 6.0%
Don’t let the black color fool you, this dark lager drinks smooth and malty, with mild chocolate notes rather than burnt or roasted malt flavors. A generous dose of Czech-grown Saaz hops round out the character of this stronger-than-average tmavé lezak.
