It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year, and we couldn’t have done it without you. From day one, this community has shown up in the best way, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the support, good times, and beers shared along the way.
Come hang with us, raise a glass, and celebrate everything we’ve built together so far. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or just found us recently, this is the perfect excuse to spend some time at the taproom.

Signal Film Festival at Silver Branch Brewing Company is dedicated to the power of short-form storytelling, showcasing films up to 10 minutes in length across narrative, documentary, animation, and more.
In an age of constant noise, we look for the signal — those unique cinematic voices that cut through the static to deliver compelling, impactful, and innovative stories. Based in a community with a deep appreciation for the arts, our mission is to provide a high-visibility platform for emerging and established filmmakers to share their vision with a live audience.
Whether it’s a gripping drama, an insightful documentary, an experimental vision, or a lighthearted comedy, we believe that the most powerful messages often come in the shortest packages.
Signal Film Festival is more than just a screening — it is a connection point for creators and film lovers to come together and tune into the spirit of cinema.

🤝 Community & Partnership
We are proud to host this year’s festival in partnership with the Brian Frankel Law Firm, DC Filmmakers Group,Wheaton Film Festival, and the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area. Through this collaboration, we aim to highlight the importance of storytelling while fostering community, awareness, and support. Ticket proceeds from this event support the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area in helping fund care, support, and research.

🍺 The Experience
Join us for an evening of film, community, and conversation — and help us tune into the signal.
Join us as we release our seasonal Kölsch, Ümläüt Löve, and kick off a full day of Kölschfest at Silver Branch Lagerhaus & Biergarten in Silver Spring.
Celebrate Cologne’s famously crisp and refreshing beer style with traditional Kölsch service, delicious food specials, and a lively brewery atmosphere all day long.
Our team will be serving Kölsch the traditional way in classic Stange glasses while guests relax in the beer garden and enjoy the festivities. We’ll also have German-inspired food specials, German music, and plenty of Kölsch flowing throughout the day.
Kölschfest is a family-friendly celebration, making it a great way to spend an afternoon with friends and family.
Whether you’re a longtime Kölsch fan or just discovering the style, Kölschfest is the perfect excuse to gather at the Lagerhaus, raise a Stange, and celebrate one of Germany’s most beloved beer traditions.

Join us for a Paint & Sip led by Becca at Silver Branch Rockville Beerworks.
Your ticket includes a complimentary beer, wine, cider, or cocktail, plus everything you need to paint. Becca will guide you step by step, whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or just looking for a fun night out.
All paints and canvases are provided, but feel free to bring your own materials if you’d like.
