Gilded Age

Golden Strong Ale was Belgium’s answer to beer drinkers’ increasing preference for golden lagers in the early 20th century. Lore has it that the brewer deemed his creation a “devil of a beer.” We consider it devilish for its combination of easy drinkability yet substantial strength. Gilded Age is beautiful subtle—fruity apple and pear notes from the yeast and just a tad spicy from the Saaz hops with a bit of alcohol warmth in the finish.
