Social Media Coordinator

Silver Branch is seeking a part-time Social Media Coordinator for our Silver Spring, MD location. Social Media Coordinator Job Description

The Social Media Coordinator will support the marketing team in developing and implementing outreach and promotional campaigns that boost engagement and increase revenue. This is a part-time role with the expectation of 15 to 20 hours per week on-site. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Events Coordinator, Digital Marketing Manager, and Art Director to generate compelling content that meets business needs.

Social Media Coordinator Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Plan and adhere to monthly and weekly social media calendar
• Track social media engagement and identify high-performing ideas and concepts
• Assist with influencer campaign strategy
• Respond to comments and DMs
• Create and edit short-form video content
• Ensure consistent brand messaging
• Facilitate photo/video content shoots
• Prepare and submit operations reports and other documentation requested by executive management

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of social media trends and current best practices
• 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing/social media marketing
• Impeccable oral and written communication skills
• Excellent internet research skills
• Mastery of the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snap and Google+
• Knowledge of social media analytics software and tools
• Experience with content management systems (such as Hootsuite and Loomly), graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Create Suit) and image/video editing software
• Bachelor’s degree in digital communications or related field such as advertising or Journalism preferred
• Goal-oriented with ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity, critical thinking, good judgment, sense of urgency and honesty

Physical Requirements

• Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant on a slick uneven surface
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Available to work a variety of hours including weekends
